Sea King Cockpit
View of the cockpit of Rescue 177 Sea King helicopter during MRT training back in 2012. The Sea Kings were robust, dependable helicopters for search and rescue, helping us as rural GPs on many occasions when weather or availability made it difficult to get any other air transfer. Also great fun to work with in SAR capacity too. Now they've been replaced by modern S92s, but the smell of aviation fuel/hydraulic oil will remain part of the memories of working with the crews at HMS Gannet.
